All aboard for Youth Alpha Tour Day

All aboard for Youth Alpha Tour Day

Youth Alpha is a fantastic resource to bring the good news of Jesus to the next generation.  As part of a national tour we are hosting a Youth Alpha day conference on Saturday November 14th at Stirling Baptist Church.

It will be an ideal opportunity for you and your team to really get to grips with how Youth Alpha works and help to build a growing youth ministry.  The day will include sessions for youth leaders and ‘emerging’ teenage leaders, as well as worship, training, coffee, cake, time to share ideas and meet others involved with similar ministries.  Click here for more details and to book online

Alpha Scotland Vision Day 2010 - Book now!

After the success of last Years' Alpha Scotland Vision Day, 'Let's Make Jesus the Talk of Scotland 2010' is going up a gear!  Once again the venue will be St Paul's and St George's in Edinburgh on Saturday 6th February 2010.  There's a fantastic line up of worship, vision, speakers, ministry tracks and an opportunity to be re-energised for mission, making it one big day in the year to all come together.

Worship Central will be leading the worship, and main speakers include Nicky Gumbel, Kenny Borthwick, Karl Martin and Pete Greig.  As well as sessions during the day, this year we are adding a Worship Central and 24-7 Praise & Prayer event in the evening with Pete Greig as the main speaker.

Delegate numbers for 'Let's Make Jesus the Talk of Scotland 2010' are limited so early booking is recommended.  Click here for more details and to book online

All Hands on Deck! Mega Inverclyde Alpha needs help

All Hands on Deck! Mega Inverclyde Alpha needs help

What looks to be one of the largest Alpha courses in the UK is set to run in Inverclyde. Organisers are expecting hundreds to attend the course following a series of meetings called 'Inverclyde Awake' with speaker Pastor Carter Conlon of Time Square Church, New York.

"The main need we have is for Alpha small group leaders - we simply don't have enough from the churches in the Inverclyde area," commented organiser Alistair MacAlees, "We would love to hear from you if you can help in any way."  Greenock town hall has been hired for the meetings and the following Alpha course.  If you are able to assist, or you need more information please contact Alistair on 0774 020 1853 or information@inverclydeawake.com.

Alpha Scotland needs you - 10 for 2010

As we plan for 2010, we also start to reflect on 2009 with excitement and gratitude for all the God has done - and it's only October!  Total Course numbers are up 10% on last year, and Youth & Schools Alpha grew by 36%.We feel there is a growing sense of momentum for the gospel in the nation and would love to see God do more through expanding Alpha and the related ministries so the even more people in Scotland are impacted, but costs have to be met.

So we are asking if you would conside partnering with us financially for the coming year.  A £10 per month donation for 2010 would make all the difference. Or perhaps you could contribute a one off gift? We don't want to keep asking for finance so are planning November as our key fundraising month, so lookout next month on how you can help make Jesus the talk of Scotland.

Final Score on Big Banner Bonanza

Final Score on Big Banner Bonanza

This Autumn saw a fantastic response for the Scottish Big Banner Bonanza.  Lots of churches have risen to the challenge, and more excitingly have had guests coming as a result of seeing the banners.

In total 53 Churches registered a banner online, and we estimate that the total number could at least be doubled to include all the banners around Scotland.  Many of the banners have been displayed in prime site locations and have complimented the national Alpha advertising campaign.
